Music Program in Brighton Kids Club:
- Piano for Absolute Beginners (Ages 4-6 & 7-12) Students learn how to find notes on a keyboard, read music notation and will be ready to play at their first concert before New Year!
- Guitar for Absolute Beginners(Ages 7-9 & 10-14) Learn to play by ear and from tablature, strum basic chords, play melodies using finger-picking style or a guitar pick
- Rock Band (Ages 9+) This Program is designed for the Future Rock Stars who already
got their basic skills in playing the guitar, keyboard, drums and in vocals. Students learn how to use the electric guitar, synthesize various sounds on the keyboard. Classes include the introduction to the history of Rock Music, practicing the performance skills and learning how to open up on stage and act like a Rock Star - Jazz Band (Ages 8+) If your child is playing a Band Instrument in school (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone Horn, or Drums) this program will be a step-up because of the smaller class size and individual approach. This class is also a great way to prepare your child for a Mark Twain and Bay Academy talent Instrumental strings and winds testing for Gifted and Talented.
- Musical Theater Program (Age 3-5, 6-12 ) Discover a Broadway Star in your kid!
Children will learn basic acting skills: express various emotions (sad, happy, scared, excited etc.), improvisation techniques, to sing Broadway style songs in chorus and solo. Your child will participate in a real musical production.
